Dreamers & Doers

Here are some of the most inspiring posters I saw at Bishop Museum’s exhibition.

God sure works in funny ways. After griping and being majorly cynical about the attitude of entitlement some creatives walk around with, I received a wondrously fabulous Christmas gift from our intern Joel Gaspar, who recently had one of his posters displayed at Bishop Museum’s If Not Now When exhibition in June. This set of posters is from his Dreamers & Doers collection, which as you can see features big dreamers who were even bigger doers. Thanks Joel for inspiring me!

GANDHI

“It’s the action, not the fruit of the action, that’s important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there’ll be any fruit. But that doesn’t mean you stop doing the right thing. you may never know what results from you action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.”

MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.

“As my sufferings mounted I soon realized that there were two ways in which I could respond to my situation – either to react with bitterness or seek to transform the suffering into creative force. I decided to follow the latter course.”

MOTHER TERESA

“We must know that we have been created for greater things, not just to be a number in the world, not just to go for diplomas and degrees, this work and that work. We have been created in order to love and to be loved.”
