All you have to do is be the overall Vans Triple Crown Champion. Simple, eh?
The third and final stop of the Nixon WTA (Winner Take All) Contest concludes this December right here on Oahu. The watch will be awarded to the surfer who earns the most points overall competing in The Reef Hawaiian Pro, The O’Neill World Cup of Surfing and The Billabong Pipe Masters.
The overall Vans Triple Crown Champion and Nixon WTA winner will walk away with an all black ceramic, custom, 51-30 valued at over $10,000 USD. This one-of-a-kind watch features the Hawaiian flag at the 12 o’clock hour, a diamond-encrusted bezel with 72 diamonds and 16 diamonds at the hour indices. (Just to put this into perspective, the ever-sought Chanel J12 watch won’t run you more than $8,000.)
Now in its fourth consecutive year, The Nixon WTA is a winner-takes-all event which awards custom, limited edition Nixon timepieces at three stops along the ASP World Tour. Challenges from this years Nixon WTA have included Highest Heat Score (Jeffreys Bay, South Africa) and Heaviest Wave (Teahupoo, Tahiti) and winners were awarded watches featuring custom engraved casebacks, a Swiss tide movement, and either an emerald (Jeffreys Bay) or ruby (Teahupoo).
